Privacy notice
Last updated September 4, 2026
This notice covers FamilySpace and the FamilySpace plugin for ChatGPT and Codex. FamilySpace is an invitation-only childcare coordination service operated by Turnstone Tech.
Information the service uses
When an invited adult signs in, FamilySpace uses account and workspace information needed to provide the service. Depending on the user’s role and request, this can include:
- account email, user identifier, workspace membership, family, and role;
- family and child display names;
- weekly care plans, attendance, and schedule notices; and
- changes an authorized user asks the plugin to make.
The plugin does not expose payment records, reimbursements, emergency contacts, invitations, account settings, or care-log entries in its current version.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, enforce role-based access, answer requested care-planning questions, perform authorized updates, protect the service, and provide support. FamilySpace does not sell personal information or use plugin content for advertising.
ChatGPT and service providers
When a user invokes the plugin, the requested FamilySpace results are sent to ChatGPT or Codex so it can answer the user. OpenAI handles that information under the user’s OpenAI account terms and settings. FamilySpace uses Supabase for authentication and data storage and Sites for application hosting. These providers may process limited technical and operational data to deliver and secure their services.
Access controls and retention
FamilySpace requires an invited account. Database row-level security limits records by workspace, family, and role. OAuth access tokens are used to authorize requests and are not stored in FamilySpace records by the plugin. FamilySpace content remains until it is changed or removed through the service or a supported request; infrastructure providers may retain operational logs under their own service terms.
Choices and requests
Users can disconnect the plugin from ChatGPT, sign out of FamilySpace, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of their FamilySpace information. A parent or guardian should contact us about information concerning a child.
Children’s information
FamilySpace is intended for use by adult parents, guardians, and caregivers. Children do not create accounts. Invited adults should enter only information needed for day-to-day childcare coordination and should not use FamilySpace for medical records or payment-card information.
Availability
The public FamilySpace plugin is offered only in the United States.
